Nocturne Fantasie No.1 (Night Fanstasy)

"As I walked toward the back of my university library on my way to the hall, I found myself looking up at the night sky. In that moment, everything felt still, as if the noise of the day had finally faded away. The stars shimmered gently, distant and calm, and a crescent moon rested high above, silent and watchful. Standing there, I felt a rare sense of peace, the kind that makes you pause and reflect without trying to find meaning. It felt like the night was offering a quiet reminder—to slow down, to breathe, and to simply exist within the calm of the moment."

Re-discovering my very first composition.

Looking back from the perspective of 10 years later, there are a few things I would change.

1. The triangle. Back then, I used it almost like a metronome. It helped define the pulse of the music, but now I find it a little distracting.

2. The ending. It feels a bit chaotic. Today, I would probably tone it down a notch or two (which I did recently.)

That said, this piece played an important role in my journey. It helped me connect with audiences on social media and eventually supported the launch of my music composition career through scholarships. Through this work, I was able to learn from and collaborate with some truly amazing musicians. It even drew crowds I never could have imagined and brought me to the stage multiple times as a young composer.

Thank you, Nocturne Fantasie No.1 (Night Fantasy). You are not perfect, but you were enough to bring me to where I am today.

P.S. One of my old friends loved it so much that he shared it on YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qMneSs6agss&list=RDqMneSs6agss&start_radio=1
